Congratulations to The Trevor Project’s NEWLYWED Executive Director/CEO, Charles Robbins!

We couldn’t be happier for our own executive director/CEO, Charles Robbins, and his partner of nine years, Damon Romine, entertainment media director at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), who were married yesterday in Palm Springs, California. Charles and Damon were wed alongside Damon’s father, David Romine, and his partner Larry Barrett, who have been together for 16 years. It was believed to be the first double wedding ceremony in California shared by a father and son since marriage equality took effect in June. George Takei, Star Trek and Heroes actor, were among the two dozen family and friends who attended the weddings at the Viceroy Palm Springs.

The wedding announcement was featured in the “Weddings/Celebrations” section of The New York Times on Friday. Please remember Charles and Damon and David and Larry when you cast your vote on Proposition 8 tomorrow at the polls. We must defeat Proposition 8 in order to maintain marriage equality for all!

CONGRATULATIONS to the newlyweds from your family at The Trevor Project! We know both couples have a lifetime of happiness to look forward to.
